Your farm’s records, put to work.

I build tools for row-crop farms from their own data: yield maps, planting records, the spreadsheets and the books. Built around how your operation runs, with the math shown so you can check the work.

Start with one field, free

Pick your worst field. See nine years of satellite on it.

The Field Report is live now. Tap a field anywhere in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota or Indiana and it pulls the soils, elevation and satellite photos for that field, flags the spots that look like they hold water or run light, and gives you a planting file to check against what you already know.

What it is, and what it isn’t

It’s built from public data: USDA soil survey, USGS elevation, Sentinel-2 satellite photos, NASA and NOAA rainfall, and USDA county yields.

It hasn’t seen your yield maps, your tile, your hybrids or your planter. It’s a starting point, not agronomic advice. That’s what a build is for.

The problem

Lots of data. Not many decisions out of it.

Every monitor, map and program on the farm makes numbers. Very little of it turns into a call you can act on. So the evenings go to the office, reconciling one system against another.

yield maps
sitting in a folder, years of them, never lined up against each other
evenings
in the office reconciling records instead of farming
gut calls
made on feel when the numbers were already there
What a build is

Your whole farm, on your own records. I do the work.

This isn’t software you sign up for and figure out yourself. It’s a project for your operation. This winter I’m taking on five row-crop farms of 2,000 acres and up, before planting.

01A free call

30 minutes on the phone. You tell me how your operation runs, and we look for where a build could save you time or money. If it isn’t worth it for you, I’ll tell you that.

02I build it on your data

Your records, your fields, the way you actually run. What it costs depends on how big a build you want, from a few fields to the whole farm.

03We check whether it paid

Check strips in the field and a sit-down after harvest, so the answer comes from your own bushels.

A build can include things like
Every field on your farm run through the Field Report, not just one.
Your own yield maps, every year you have, checked against the ponds, sand and knolls, so we know which spots really cost you bushels.
Planting maps built from your own yield data, loaded and checked on your monitor before you plant.
Check strips, and a sit-down after harvest to see whether it paid.
Or something else that’s eating your time. Tell me what it is.
Built by a farmer

This came from the office chair it fixes.

I’m Daniel Knutson. I farm with my family near Meservey, Iowa: corn and soybeans, an organic rotation with alfalfa and oats, and cattle and goats. I know the pain firsthand. The data was there, the answers weren’t, and the evenings kept getting eaten in the office.

So I build practical tools around the way a farm actually runs, not one-size-fits-all software.

Who it’s for

Working farmers who want tools that earn their keep.

2,000 acres and up

Mostly row crops, with enough fields and records that the fragmentation shows up every week.

Built around you

Not off-the-shelf software. Your fields, your inputs, the way you actually run.

Show me it paid

You want the math behind every answer, and a way to check it in the field, not more homework.
