Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026. This policy covers foremanag.com and the Foreman software built for clients by Foreman Ag LLC. The free Field Report at check.foremanag.com has its own privacy policy.

The short version. Your farm's data is yours. We only touch it because you asked us to, we only use it to run Foreman for you, and we don't sell it or share it with anyone else for their own purposes. You can tell us to stop and delete it at any time.

1. Who we are

Foreman Ag LLC is an Iowa limited liability company at 2328 Balsam Avenue, Meservey, Iowa 50457. You can reach us at daniel@foremanag.com about anything in this policy.

2. What we collect

If you visit this site

This site has no forms and no accounts. We don't run advertising trackers or third-party analytics on it. Our web host keeps standard server logs, and the page loads its fonts from Google Fonts. If you book a call, the booking page is run by Google Calendar, and we receive the name, email, and phone number you give there so we can call you.

If you joined our earlier waitlist

An earlier version of this site had a waitlist form that collected your name, email address, farm name, acres, the crops you selected, where the signup came from, and your browser's user-agent string. We still hold those signups and use them only to reach out about Foreman.

If you're a Foreman client

To run Foreman for your operation we hold the records you give us or authorize us to pull. Depending on your setup that can include:

Data from John Deere Operations Center

Where you use the John Deere Operations Center connection, we retrieve the above categories of data through John Deere's APIs. That access only ever begins after you grant it through John Deere's own sign-in and consent screen. We never ask for, collect, or store your John Deere username and password, the connection is authorized by a token John Deere issues, not by us holding your credentials. You can revoke our access at any time from your Operations Center account, and we will stop retrieving your data when you do.

3. How we use it

We use your information to operate Foreman for you and for nothing else. In practice that means:

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or analytics. We only email you about things you signed up for or asked about; every email we send has a way to stop them.

4. Who else can see it

Your data stays within your own Foreman environment. It is not pooled with other clients' data, and one client cannot see another's records.

A limited number of service providers necessarily process data on our behalf in order for the software to run, for example, the database and hosting providers our systems run on, and the AI model provider that generates answers to questions you ask. They act on our instructions for the purpose of delivering Foreman, and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.

Beyond that, we disclose data only when you direct us to, or when we're required to by law.

5. Where your data goes when partners are involved

Some farms work with a custom operator, a landlord, an agronomist, or another party who shares ground or records with them. Where Foreman moves data between two organizations that way, it does so only where both sides have authorized that sharing, through John Deere's partnership permissions or through your written instruction to us. We don't create a data connection between two operations on our own initiative.

6. How long we keep it, and how to get rid of it

We keep client data for as long as you're a client and for as long afterward as our agreement with you provides. Waitlist signups are kept until you ask us to remove you or we retire the list.

You can ask us at any time to give you a copy of the data we hold for you, correct it, or delete it. Email daniel@foremanag.com and we'll confirm when it's done. If you end your engagement with us, we'll return or delete your data on the terms in your agreement.

7. How we protect it

Access to client systems is restricted to people who need it to do the work, and is protected by individual accounts and credentials. Client databases are not exposed to the public internet; remote access runs over a private connection. Credentials and API keys are kept out of our source code. Backups are kept so your records survive a hardware failure.

No system is perfectly secure, and we won't claim otherwise. If we discover that someone gained unauthorized access to your data, we will tell you promptly and tell you what we know.

8. Children

Foreman is business software sold to farm operations. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we'll update the effective date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle client data, we'll notify affected clients directly rather than relying on you to notice.
